April Blood is a British-American creative partnership with a unique musical style. Defying simple categorisation, April Blood's sound could be described as indie-folk with a touch of alt-country. While strongly guitar-based, violins, dulcimers, banjo and keyboards are woven through many of the songs, with lyrics infused with references to the natural world and drawing on the rich stream of human experience.
April Blood's unique style comes from the eclectic influences that have coloured the lives and experiences of Paul Kelly and Tracy Vaughan Gough. Individually, Tracy and Paul have lived overseas, travelling and exploring different cultures. Now making music together, they are merging their diverse interests and musical inspirations into a a harmonious blend under the banner of April Blood
