About april blood
April Blood is a creative partnership based in Kent, England. Defying simple categorisation, April Blood's sound could be described as indie-folk with a touch of alt-country. While strongly guitar-based, we experiment with different instruments including the harp, dulcimer and harmonium, which are woven through many of the songs. Our lyrics are infused with references to the natural world and draw on the rich stream of human experience.
April Blood's unique style comes from the eclectic influences that have coloured the lives and experiences of Paul Kelly and Tracy Vaughan Gough. Individually, Tracy and Paul have lived overseas, travelling and exploring different cultures. Now making music together, they are merging their diverse interests and musical inspirations into a a harmonious blend under the banner of April Blood
We are always writing new music and at the moment we are concentrating on recording new songs. We’re releasing tracks regularly so follow us on streaming sites to get them first.
